Position: PT Online Production Intern
Description: This is a learning position that starts with managing routine web site, social media, and other online media updates. The right candidate would assist in developing and driving a proactive system for dynamic online revisions.
The Right Candidate: You must have interest in web design & implementation, graphic design, and at least a basic knowledge of Adobe products. We also use online CMS (Joomla, Drupal, etc) for some of our clients, and would desire someone with interest in learning more about how CMS systems work.
Working with web sites goes far beyond the design, into how a visitor will react with each site design and content. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have the drive to think beyond the surface, ready to learn new tricks, overcome hurdles when faced with challenges, and someone that truly has the desire to learn.
In addition, our firm provides pro-bono services to a local LGBT center and it would be a great asset if you have knowledge of the LGBT community, news, and events... as it will be a project you'll enjoy working with.
This can be an extremely flexible position in regards to hours and when work can be completed. For the right intern, this position could turn into long term.
College students and recent grads are encouraged to apply. This position might also be of interest to someone finding themselves in a position of employment transition (recently laid off).
Compensation: This is a learning position, therefore, in the beginning we'll both be investing free time – but once you're work is billable to clients, you will get paid. Your billable rate will depend upon factors of experience, quality, and efficiency.
Please provide a cover letter to tell us a little bit about you, your web/design skills and why you're interested in this internship.
